The Eagle Fire Department helps members of our community protect themselves and their property by educating them on ways to prevent fire and other safety hazards. We share information through presentations at schools, businesses, retirement homes, assisted living centers and community events. We also connect with the public through Facebook, Twitter, and this website. Follow us to get the latest on what’s happening at Eagle Fire and learn more about all of the services we provide.

Children and the elderly are the most vulnerable to fire and other safety emergencies, so we focus many of our prevention programs on those age groups. Eagle firefighters spend time in the local elementary schools teaching students about smoke detectors, fire escape plans and other important safety lessons. They also visit the schools regularly for lunch and recess with the students – a fun way to build relationships with the younger members of our community and give them positive role models who encourage them to make healthy choices. Firefighters go to assisted living centers and retirement homes several times a year as well with important safety messages for the residents.

Each October, during National Fire Prevention Week, Eagle Fire invites the public to an Open House. You can meet the firefighters, tour a station, get an up-close look at the apparatus, pick up safety information and learn more about what our agency does.

Public Education on fire prevention is extremely important here at EFD. Annually our Firefighters visit every daycare and pre-K in the district as well as the seven area schools to visit with all kindergarten through 5th graders. Crews on average are able to meet and visit with 3400 school kids every year.
